Founded in 1987, Avelo Air was initially named Casino Express Airlines. Headquartered in Houston (Texas), it is a low-cost airline that has received the certification to conduct both— domestic and international flight operations. Currently, the air carrier offers flights to 13 domestic destinations spread across 8 U.S. states. As of May 2021, their fleet contains three aircraft. They have plans of adding more aircraft to their fleet in the near future. The parent company of Avelo Air is Houston Air Holdings, Inc.
Passengers traveling on Avelo Air flights are allowed to bring along one personal item and one piece of carry-on baggage in the cabin with them. The personal item is free of charge, while a baggage fee is applicable on the carry-on baggage. The personal item cannot exceed the dimensions of 14 L x 9 W x 9.5 H. The dimensions of the carry-on baggage cannot be more than 22 L x 14 W x 9 H. It's weight should not exceed 35 lbs. Please note that all carry-on items carried by a passenger are their sole responsibility.
When it comes to checked baggage, they charge a baggage fee of $10 (for your first bag). The weight of checked baggage cannot be more than 50 lbs. Its linear dimension cannot be more than 62 inches. If a piece of checked baggage exceeds these limitations, then an additional $50 fee for exceeding weight would be applicable, and an additional $50 fee for exceeding the 62 inches size limit would be applicable as well. Also, they do not accept checked baggage that are over 70 lb. in weight and/or exceed the linear dimension of 80 inches.
