Porter Airlines (PD) is one of the most renowned Canadian airlines, holding the third rank in market share and efficiency in and around the country. It has a dense network of flights to Canadian and US destinations with a stronghold in Toronto. Known for its premium service and sustainable travel, Canadian airlines focus on short-haul flights, primarily connecting Eastern Canada and select destinations in the US. Porter Airlines Baggage Policy

Types of Fares and Standard, Flexible, and Freedom are the three main fare categories that Porter Airlines offers. Standard fares are the least expensive and provide the basic flexibility. Flexible fares offer more flexibility, like free changes to travel dates or times and permit some degree of return or credit. Freedom fares are the most flexible and provide maximum benefits like free changes, cancellations, and the option to select a PorterClassic Stretch seat for extra legroom.

Porter Airlines offers different baggage allowances depending on your fare and destination. Basic fares allow only one personal item, while Standard, Flexible, and Freedom fares allow one personal item and one standard carry-on bag. Additional bags must be checked and may incur fees.

Carry-on Baggage

• Basic Fare: One personal item with a maximum dimension of 33 x 43 x 16 cm (13 x 17 x 6 inches). It can be a laptop bag, a backpack or a purse.
• Standard, Flexible, Freedom Fares: You can bring one personal item under the dimensions of 33 x 43 x 16 cm (13 x 17 x 6 inches) and one standard carry-on bag (55 x 23 x 40 cm or 21.5 x 9 x 15.5 inches).
• Overweight or Oversized Carry-ons: You will be charged to have your carry-on checked baggage at the gate if it is overweight.

Checked Baggage

Checked baggage fees vary according to the fare type and time of booking. Porter Airlines' checked baggage policy includes specific size and weight limits for each bag, as well as fees for exceeding those limits. Porter Airlines generally allows one checked bag for Flexible and Freedom fares, with a size limit of 158 cm (62 in) (length + width + height) and a weight limit of 50 lb per bag. Overweight or oversized baggage is subject to fees starting at $100.
